I love the beautiful color of this Spiced Golden Latte – hence “golden” in the title. It is so delicious and feels indulgent, and actually has many health benefits. The color comes from the antioxidant-rich turmeric!

This spiced latte contains ingredients that create not only a delicious flavor, but also are great for the immune system, as well as digestive and heart health. Not to shabby for a latte.

Spiced Golden Latte Sprinkled with Cinnamon

So what’s in this Spiced Golden Latte?

  1. Turmeric
    • Contains anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidants from its main component curcumin
  2. Black Pepper
    • This coupled with turmeric allows the body to absorb curcumin (the key ingredient in turmeric) which is a strong anti-inflammatory
  3. Cardamom
    • Also contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties
  4. Ginger
    • Great source of vitamin B6. Also, high in gingerol, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties
  5. Tahini
    • Good source of B vitamins, magnesium, iron, zinc and copper
  6. Cinnamon
    • Contains high levels of antioxidants, and also known to help regulate blood sugar

These spices together also act as a fabulous decongestant if you ever have a cold. So, before grabbing your morning coffee, think about making this latte part of your morning routine!

Spiced Golden Latte

Vegan Turmeric Latte
Prep Time 10 mins
Course Breakfast, Snack
Servings 2 people


  • 2 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 2 grinds black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp whole cardamom seeds
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • 4 1/2 inch cubes of fresh ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp tahini


  • Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and whisk to combine
  • Heat saucepan over medium heat and continue to whisk periodically for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes, continue to whisk contents about every minute
  • Strain the turmeric latte into a mug and enjoy!
